Personal:

When it comes down to it, I'm a lot of things, I love cats, I have a odd passion for History and Geography specifically the Presidents of the Unitede States.  I have a big pack of stickers with my name on them on my desk, and I love to read Goosebumps and watch Seinfeld, and stay up late with my friends at local diners.  But above all I love to run.  I'm a recent graduate of Danbury High School in Danbury Ct where I competed as a Varsity athlete in Cross country, Indoor and Outdoor Track all 4 years.  I began my running career in the sixth grade and started competing in local 5k's the summer following.  Before entering high school I had competed in about 20 various local races.  During high school I made some amazing memories being apart of the track and cross country teams.  From the anxiety filled championship races at Wickham park in the fall, the exciting meets at the Armory in the winter, to my very last meet at Nationals down in North Carolina for the 4xmile with some of th best people I've known these past few years.  This year  I'll be running at the Univeristy of Albany where I will be majoring in History with asperations of becoming a teacher.  I am also a proud Eagle Scout.   This blog will be kept at least for the entirety of my summer training in preperation for my freshmen year.  In addition to running tons this summer I'll also be working 35 hours a week as a lifeguard and sepnding lots of quality time with all the people that I care about.  I've been very fortunate to have been apart of such a great High School Team, and an even better Coach, that gave me the opportunity to be apart of a state open championship team this past fall.  I hope that I have just as much fun with the sport as I move on to the next turn in the trail that comes my way.

My summer training was widely successful, and I do intend on keeping this blog into the Fall, it was very helpful in tracking my weekly milage, and reading back at what i last wrote it amazes me how much has changed in my since only 8 weeks ago when this blog was established.  I am very excited to make some great memories with Coach Jones, and my fellow freshmen teamates as well as Kyle, Tyler, and the rest of them.

Deciding not to long run this week with the race yesterday, and plans for a very high mileage week next week.  10 Miles with Rob, Julio, and Corey. Julio took this one out hard, especially on the way back, going sub 6:20 pace for a few miles.  It was a bit tiring for me, but nothing too out of control.

Week total was short at 55-56 miles, Next week I plan on raising volume no days off, hoping to reach potentially 70.

Fresh start to the week with a nice morning 9 around the ball pond area, felt smooth picked up pace towards the end, looking towards a goal of 70 miles for this week...my longest ever.

Double Day:  Morning was rough running 4 miles with Ro at Terrywile right after my morning lift, certainly not ideal but good to prepare the body for running under all types of conditions.

PM was 7 miles at a bisk pace, felt much better than this morning.

Progresssive run from Terrywile with Zach and Tim, pace dropped progresssively down to 6:30, but felt very comfortable, 8 miles no longer feels like a longer type run as it once did.

Tempo day at Immaculate alone, went for 5 miles with a goal of 6 minute pace.  Was able to hold even faster hitting 29:20 (According to Garmin), and 29:40 when crossing the line (I had to swerve for some walkers in lane 1 which may exlain the 20 second offset.  Felt much better than previous tempo's, and I certainly didn't slow down much those last two miles as I have in the past.

Fam was at Ocean City for the day, so I got my run in on the nice and flat roads on the beach island, in direct heat the entire way, kept it a smooth 6:40ish pace most of the way.  Very fun day.

Big day in DC today, but first, I did my run around the hotel we are staying at in Loudon County, stumbled upon a massive rail trail / bridle trail that will be perfect for tomorrows long run of 15.  Decided to cut today short two miles feeling extra tired. from last few days training.
