Personal:

When it comes down to it, I'm a lot of things, I love cats, I have a odd passion for History and Geography specifically the Presidents of the Unitede States.  I have a big pack of stickers with my name on them on my desk, and I love to read Goosebumps and watch Seinfeld, and stay up late with my friends at local diners.  But above all I love to run.  I'm a recent graduate of Danbury High School in Danbury Ct where I competed as a Varsity athlete in Cross country, Indoor and Outdoor Track all 4 years.  I began my running career in the sixth grade and started competing in local 5k's the summer following.  Before entering high school I had competed in about 20 various local races.  During high school I made some amazing memories being apart of the track and cross country teams.  From the anxiety filled championship races at Wickham park in the fall, the exciting meets at the Armory in the winter, to my very last meet at Nationals down in North Carolina for the 4xmile with some of th best people I've known these past few years.  This year  I'll be running at the Univeristy of Albany where I will be majoring in History with asperations of becoming a teacher.  I am also a proud Eagle Scout.   This blog will be kept at least for the entirety of my summer training in preperation for my freshmen year.  In addition to running tons this summer I'll also be working 35 hours a week as a lifeguard and sepnding lots of quality time with all the people that I care about.  I've been very fortunate to have been apart of such a great High School Team, and an even better Coach, that gave me the opportunity to be apart of a state open championship team this past fall.  I hope that I have just as much fun with the sport as I move on to the next turn in the trail that comes my way.

My summer training was widely successful, and I do intend on keeping this blog into the Fall, it was very helpful in tracking my weekly milage, and reading back at what i last wrote it amazes me how much has changed in my since only 8 weeks ago when this blog was established.  I am very excited to make some great memories with Coach Jones, and my fellow freshmen teamates as well as Kyle, Tyler, and the rest of them.

Hit the big 15 on that rail trail today!  Calves were tightening up in the middle of the run, likely from all the walking done yesterday, but I held up and finnished it a smooth, but not speedy pace of 6:30.  This caps off a 68 mile week for me, which means a much needed day off tomorrow (48 hours of relaxin total).  Next week will be my last full week before going back to Albany, it will likely be around 60 - 65 miles, with the day off that's still quite a lot.  Will probably do two doubles.

VERY humid day in Ridgefield.  Actually was feeling decent for the first few miles getting down to a 6:23 for the 4th mile, but after turning around the heat started to hit me and I slowed down, still averaged 6:50 for the whole thing tho

Workout with the high school guys, their goal was to run 4 miles at 5:40 pace, my goal was to do that and then add two miles at whatever pace I could reasonably hold.  We went out fot the first two miles at 5:40 a piece, felt very exhausting in this heat wave humidityy.  3rd mile I was really srtarting to feel it and dropped back to 5:50 pace, and finally hit around 6:05 for the last mile.  Not quite the goal, but had to make do with the conditions.
